Health and Safety Training Courses

Our training courses are endorsed by professional bodies like IPAF, PASMA and UKATA – take a look at what we have to offer:

We can offer our courses in a variety of ways: at our training centres, at your own premises, as open courses, or as bespoke training solutions. Legislation doesn’t stand still and neither do we; we are constantly updating the content of our courses to keep pace with a moving landscape as well as adding new ones. Need something that you can’t see on our course information? Let us know, we may be able to provide or source it!health and safety training

Don’t compromise on health and safety

Protecting the health and safety of your staff is one of your most important responsibilities so don’t compromise on the way you provide it. With the proper training and advice, all workplaces can reduce risk to an absolute minimum so you need a provider that you can trust to deliver the right training for the right price and that is Boss Training.

Safety training endorsed by professional bodies

We are members and accredited training providers for a range of health and safety related professional bodies including PASMA training (use of mobile scaffolding towers), IPAF training(powered access) and UKATA (UKATA asbestos awareness training and UKATA Non licensed asbestos removal training). We can also offer UKATA asbestos awareness online training courses. This not only means that our training meets the high standards that these bodies insist on but we are able to issue the appropriate cards and certification for people to be able to work on UK construction sites.

A fully managed training service

As well as providing training, we offer a free training management service. Many of our training certifications are required by health and safety regulations and must be renewed at fixed intervals. We can help you manage that process to ensure all workers are up to date and complying with legislation. This not only makes your life easier, it helps to plan and schedule effectively which minimises disruption and allows for efficient training plans to be put in place. We have courses for various jobs such as abrasive wheels training for people who use, mount or inspect abrasive wheels and scissor lift training for people working on aerial work platforms.

Case study – The Connaught Hotel

This leading London hotel sought our help with their working at height requirements. They had a number of hard to reach areas where access was required – replacing bulbs in chandeliers, installing flags on flagpoles and general cleaning and maintenance.

The project was two-fold; firstly to create a solution – finding the safest method to conduct these tasks; and secondly delivering the appropriate training to allow them to put this in place. Our conclusion was that the most appropriate course of action was the use of a MEWP which represented the quickest, safest and most cost effective method of achieving their objectives. We then conducted all the necessary training on-site with 12 members of staff who all successfully completed the course.

Manager Jason Hill commented: “We knew we had a skills gap when it came to working at height from powered access equipment and needed to find a training provider that we could trust to offer specialist advice and guidance. I had previously used Boss Training for a PASMA course and knew they could be relied on to deliver quality training. The IPAF training was delivered in a very professional manner with the minimum of fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending Boss Training for any working at height safety training.”
