There is continuing insistence for significant documentation to support health and safety conformity - The CITB Site Safety Plus Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) health & safety training programme is acknowledged as one of the most highly regarded courses that the construction industry has available to offer. It delivered for site managers, with over 10,000 delegates attending the course each and every year.

BOSS Training is now able to arrange The SMSTS training course to help site managers (and those candidates who may be in a position to attain a management role) to have an increased understanding of the responsibility which is expected of them and others on site in accordance with current H&S legislation.

 

The course lasts five days. (day release for five weeks) During the course, delegates must pass a number of key exercises. On completion, delegates then take an examination for which qualification of the CITB certificate is required.

The certificate is valid for five years. Following the expiration of the certificate, delegates need to pass the two-day SMSTS refresher course in order to renew their status and keep their qualification current. The two-day refresher course can only be delivered to delegates who have already previously attended the full five-day course and are able to display proof of their attendance.

Training Method: Fully interactive classroom based assisted with PowerPoint presentations and videos supported by exercises. The course is aimed at supervisors, site managers, foremen, project managers, charge hands or anyone involved in line management. It is also suitable for owners of small to medium-sized companies. Training can be carried out either in house, where there is a room large enough for theory sessions with electrical supply, or at one of our regional selected training venues.

 

Course Duration: Five full days classroom based training.
