Scissor Lift and Cherry Picker Training Courses

Falls from height remain one of the biggest causes of death and serious injury. Anyone working at height and using scissor lifts or cherry pickers need evidence to prove that they have been trained. Upon completion of the course, each successful delegate is issued with a PAL card. The PAL card (Powered Access Licence) confirms that the holder has received adequate training and is competent to operate MEWPS safely and effectively.

    Aims:

    The aim of the course is to provide delegates with an understanding of the need for accident prevention, safe operational procedures, emergency descent operations and the responsibilities of the employers and employees. The course covers the main aims of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations. There is also information on LOLER regs in respect of MEWPS (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms)
