As part of their efforts to maintain a highly skilled workforce, Amey approached us to deliver CPCS training, building on our established relationship as their sole provider of asbestos training for several years.
The Challenge
Amey faced a significant challenge in sourcing consistent, high-quality CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) training. Due to the lack of national CPCS providers with multiple training centres, Amey had been working with 30-40 individual providers across the country. This fragmented approach led to varied standards in training facilities, course delivery, and overall customer service, which posed challenges in ensuring consistent training quality and compliance.
Our Approach
To streamline the process and guarantee a consistent, high-standard training experience, we undertook a comprehensive audit of 40 training centres across the UK. Over the course of two weeks, our team visited each centre to evaluate their facilities, trainers, and overall standards. Centres that met our stringent requirements were quickly onboarded, and we entered into formal agreements with them through our Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Associate contracts. These agreements ensured that all providers adhered to our professional practices, maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency across the network.
Training Delivery
We utilised both our own training centres and a network of carefully vetted satellite centres to deliver a comprehensive range of CPCS courses. These included:
