Ladder Safety Training Course
While most health and safety best practice advocates the use of scaffolding towers or powered access equipment for working at height, there can still be case for using a ladder; usually because of space restrictions or where the task in hand is simple enough for ladders to be the most practical option. Ladder safety training enables people to use ladders safely and minimise risk.
Who should complete ladder safety training?
Anyone who uses ladders or steps in their work would benefit from ladder training.
Ladder safety training from Boss Training
Our ladder safety training equips users of temporary access equipment with the skills to conduct inspections, to recognise and eliminate the danger of incorrect ladder usage. It allows them to conduct risk assessments and select the right equipment for the job according to the height to be accessed. While ladders can be used for low height tasks, it is important to take appropriate measures to reduce risk and candidates will leave able to understand these risks and take precautions.
Course content is constantly being updated in line with the changing requirements of Work at Height Regulations.
This training will provide candidates with an appreciation of the hazards of using ladders and steps and the measures required to control the associated risks. For powered access safety training, see our IPAF Training course page.
Boss Training is an authorised dealer of ‘Youngman’ access products, including ladders, steps and mobile access towers – ask our sales team for a brochure.
