The internationally recognised IPAF scissor lift course and cherry picker training course is in place to provide delegates with a range of MEWP training, from cherry picker training to scissor lift training. The course covers accident prevention, safe operational procedures, and emergency descent operations and gives an overview of the responsibilities of employers and employees. Once you’ve completed this scissor lift course and cherry picker training course, you’ll receive your scissor lift licence and cherry picker licence.
This course is a combination of theory and practical training designed to teach delegates how to operate a variety of MEWPs including Static Booms, Mobile Booms and Scissor Lifts. It will teach how to manoeuvre the machines safely and the legislation surrounding the safe use of MEWPs including pre-use checks.

All delegates will need standard PPE; a hard hat, working boots and a hi-vis jacket or coat.
If you are operating a boom you will need to bring a harness and restraint lanyard that has been inspected in the last 6 months.
If the course is onsite you will be expected to provide a classroom space for the theory, and the machines to be operated, as well as enough space for the practical space, the machine must be able to be raised to ¾ of its total height.
